What to expect:
First of all, most Prosecco is blessed with a noticeable touch of sweetness, but not this one. It is made in a truly brut style and therefore will be not honeyed. Prosecco, as a grape, is known for stone fruit, and so you will find peach and apricot but also pear and green apple. There is also a touch of citrus, which plays very nicely with the yeasty, bread dough notes.
Sommariva is lovely Thursday night celebration in a bottle kind of wine.
